Greenways Holidays is a community enterprise,
which provides collective marketing for local service-sector accommodation providers and helps them to meet the needs of the international travel trade. Money made by Greenways Holidays Ltd is used to fund joint marketing activities and the Pembrokeshire based booking service.

Tourism in Pembrokeshire's biggest industry
but it is of relatively low value and acutely seasonal, with an estimated 38% of all visits being made in July/August/September. This contributes to a lack of year-round job opportunities and the fact that Pembrokeshire has one of the lowest rates of economic growth (GDP) in Europe.

Maximum benefits accrue from tourism
where it is in a form that builds on the environmental, cutlure and historical assets of an area and adds value through the use of local products and provides year-round job opportunities. The CoaST project in Cornwall, for example, has calculated that:

50% of the revenue from tourism leaks out of Cornwall

10% increase in local products bought by the hotel and catering industry across the region would generate £45m and 2000 jobs
